I asked for one but nothing appeared, had to ask again the next day and finally got one. As this is a 5* hotel I did not have a shower cap with me. If we had not been on the 11th floor we would have walked down or up.
Several times it took us 10 plus minutes to get a lift.
TV remote was not in a plastic cover but our friends in another room had this. Area by shower door hinge needed a good clean (see pictures). Hand wash, shower gel etc which are fixed to wall had finger marks and dust from previous occupants. Despite a seal on door saying it had been cleaned, attention to detail lacking in cleaning of room. Only stayed for 3 nights so just about managed. Cons Despite good wardrobe space very little storage for other clothes. We were given a “present “ the first night of a large bottle of water and some chocolates which was nice. Reasonable size room for a short stay Coffee machine in room and decent coffee. Breakfast is taken here and there is a reasonable selection, sometimes slow at replacing things but good quality. We stayed in a level room which gives you access to a lounge with refreshments and snack type food all day. For an OK hotel I find it a bit overpriced.ġ.03km from Al Vent Well positioned hotel in Madrid. All in all the hotel is OK, but standard. We had breakfast at 9.00 am on Sunday morning (one hour after breakfast opened) and they were already out of eggs, and fruits. Also there is no regular refill of items that are finished. This would improve the breakfast enormously. I would recommend the hotel to provide fresh bread instead of the prebaked factory bread.
But if one would stay on their own, it would not feel safe with the doors open. Luckily we were able to open the doors at night for some cold fresh air. The aircon in the room is fixed to a very high temperature, you can change the temperature and the high/ low blowing of the aircon but it seems set to a standard high temperature. They offered us to change rooms, but since we unpacked already we decided to stay. I asked the reception if they could replace the batteries, but they said the maintenance person had just left for the weekend (16.00 on Saturday) and would be back on Monday. The locker did not work because the batteries were empty. The rooms are specious, the bathroom is spacious too, but a bit old, but it looks well maintained. At checkin it was recognised that I was a gold member and they offered a lager room with balcony as an upgrade. The hotel is easily reached by metro from the airport. The hotel is located very well within walking distance of sightseeing, restaurants and metro. Special thanks goes to ToN and TheMango for helping me out.1.3km from Al Vent We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on a weekend trip. Open up another copy of vent (the one you are going to talk on) and then start DJ'ing! You need a second vent account so you can hear the music too.Ĩ) If you want, go to the DJ vent username and right click on it, and click Integration -> Winamp to display what song is currently being played. Configure that name by going to setup and set the following:Ħ) FINALLY, right click on the Ventrilo.exe and where it says Target, make sure it says: "C:\Program Files\Ventrilo\Ventrilo.exe" -mħ) You are done. On the left side under "Plug-ins", click on Output (or press CTRL+p). You are about halfway done.ģ) Open up WinAmp, go to the Preferences. Once you are done, then you don't do anything else to VAC. The process should not take that long too install.
A lot of the people who heard it said that the sound quality was pretty clean.īefore I start this mini-guide, I expect that you people have Ventrilo and Winamp (which is the Media Player I'm using).Ģ) Install VAC. #1 So some people did have troubles yesterday and thanks to ToN, I feel like I should help out the ones who can't get it to work properly, or want to set up their own music channel in the future.
